HD23B Republican Reaches ‘North Star’ Status in Clear Path to Victory
The First Congressional District Republican Party (CD1GOP) announced today that Dave Kruse (HD23B- Mankato and surrounding areas) has been designated a North Star in its two-tiered GOP North Stars program. By advancing to the top level Kruse has proven his ability to build a winning campaign and achieve substantial fundraising goals.
“Dave Kruse has proven his ability to take on career politician Kathy Brynaert, a rank and file liberal Democrat who aligns more with Minneapolis and St. Paul party leaders than southern Minnesota,” said Steve Perkins, the CD1GOP chair. “Rep. Brynaert is a follower. She votes the failed Democratic Party line that extends from Minneapolis-St. Paul up to Reid, Pelosi, and Obama. She endorses Obamacare and she thinks the answer to all of Minnesota’s problems is to raise taxes on Minnesota’s hard working citizens.”
Perkins said, “As a self employed father, Dave Kruse understands the challenges of providing for a family in southern Minnesota’s economy. Dave has made clear his commitment to representing the needs of southern Minnesota. Dave Kruse is a longtime Mankato resident and alum of Bethany Lutheran College and MSU, Mankato. Kruse knows his generation will pay the bill for today’s state and federal budget deficits.
The GOP North Star program is dedicated to electing open seat and challenger candidates throughout Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District. The North Star status is a symbol that Dave Kruse is ready to take on Kathy Brynaert and her failed policies of the past. Perkins said, “It is time for the return to common sense government and Dave Kruse is the perfect fit for this district.”
