I was asked recently about my “political ambition.”  That made me pause.  I have a fervent passion for freedom and liberty.  The wonderful life I live is due in large part to those who have sacrificed their time, money, and energy into preserving our Republic, not the politically ambitious.

It is not political ambition that drives me to make a better future for my children.  We all want to leave our kids the gift of a state that is still full of opportunity.  We want them to live their lives free of tyranny and oppression.  I am running because it is time for a state government that believes in you.   You know what’s best for you.   Only you know how to make the best decisions for yourself and your family.   When government gets out of your way and respects your personal liberty, you are going to make our state strong.

Our nation has always relied on those who stand up and fight for our freedom whenever it is threatened.   Today, this falls on us.   But we can count ourselves lucky.  Many have been called upon to sacrifice everything for our country.   In this fight, we need only fight with words, to lead in ideas, and to storm the polling stations.
